Know Yourself

There is something that is rarely talked about in our day-to-day lives.

Self-awareness.

How important is it?

Imagine your soul got out of your body and you don't know you are, you don't know your name, height, your facial features, your address, and everything about you. For sure, you'll get lost, you will never find your way home because you don't know yourself.

The pursuit of self-awareness is not a waste of time. In fact, it is truly worth it, it produces great results. People who are self-aware know their strengths, know their weaknesses. They know what will make their hearts on fire, and they also know what will make it cold and passive. These people are truly aware of what they are made of and what can they bring to the table.

Are you happy? Are you sad?

Are you doing things that you enjoy?

Do you spend enough time with the good influencers in your life?

You have to audit yourself. You have to reflect. Auditing is so pivotal to being able to succeed in thinking about how to understand yourself, your circumstances, and your environment much better. It becomes what would be considered a competitive advantage.

Auditing ourselves makes things clearer. It makes us understand and know what are the things we are good at that we can focus on.

Use it to your advantage

"Self-awareness is being able to accept your weaknesses while focusing all of your attention on your strengths." -Gary Vaynerchuk

What works for person A, doesn't necessarily means that it will work for person B. We all have a different skill set. You can always be the best in the things that you are really good at if you put time on it. Your friend that is good at basketball, you can always beat them at your own sports. There is always some that you are good at, and your assignment is to find it.

Self-awareness allows people to recognize what things they do best so they can then go hard on those aspects of their life. It also helps you accept your weaknesses.

Accept your shortcomings, you're only human after all. Focus on your strengths or better double time on your strengths. Use it as your most powerful weapon to success, it is the key to your dreams in life.
